ANSI C82.77-4-2020 American National Standard for Lighting Equipment-Power Line Frequency Magnetic Field Immunity Test, 2020
- 1. Introduction
- 2. Deviations
- 2.1. Add to Clause 1 Scope the following details about the application to lighting equipment:
- 2.2. Replace the test result letter classification in clause 9 with the following: [Go to Page]
- The test results shall be classified in terms of the loss of function or degradation of
- performance of the equipment under test, relative to a performance level defined by its manufacturer or the requestor of the test, or agreed between the manufacturer and the
- purchaser of the product. The recommended classification is as follows:
- “A” rating: Normal performance within limits specified by the manufacturer, requestor or purchaser both during the application of the disturbance and after it ceases.
- “B” rating: Temporary loss of function or degradation of performance which ceases after the
- disturbance ceases, and from which the equipment under test recovers its normal
- performance, without operator intervention.
- “C” rating: Temporary loss of function or degradation of performance, the correction of which requires operator intervention.
- “D” rating: Loss of function or degradation of performance which is not recoverable, owing to damage to hardware or software, or loss of data.
- “E” rating: Physical damage to the EUT has occurred which may or may not be manifested in smoke and/or fire being emitted.
- The manufacturer’s specification may define effects on the EUT which may be considered
- insignificant, and therefore acceptable.
- 2.3. Add the following details and example test report form to Clause 10. [Go to Page]
- All test reports shall include the test result letter classification as detailed in 2.2 above.
- Note: Photographs of the test setup including EUT, test equipment, wiring of the test setup, and faces of test equipment showing settings may be provided.
- 2.4. Add the following requirement:
- The following form shall be used for recording magnetic field immunity test data. § [Go to Page]
